Only made in the best years, this is a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir from grand cru vineyards on Montagne de Reims 'Louvois' and the Cote de Blancs; Avize, Cramant and Chouilly. Tarte tannin apple, pear and pastry notes on the nose, buttery, rich and fully expressive in aroma but delicate and not at all overwhelming. Gentle hazelnuts combine with lemon and lime, white acacia flowers, fresh honey and green apple - crisp, elegant and forward while being balanced and sophisticated. The richness is perfectly matched to the freshness and delicate evervescence with roundness and a lovely gourmet taste overall. Lovely body and length. Dosage 7g/L.
