Sure, there are sweet versions that are pretty darn tasty, but more often than not, ros\u00e9 is a dry wine. Bone dry. The color, which can range from barely pink to onion skin to magenta, is not an indicator of its sweetness or quality. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re never going to drop a pretty penny on a bottle of ros\u00e9 unless you\u2019re buying ros\u00e9 Champagne. Speaking of which, sparkling ros\u00e9 has just as much complexity as regular bubbly, but with an extra punch of flavor a little more body. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ros\u00e9 wine can complement different cuisines and makes for a great alternative to your usual white wine pairings. You can also cook with it!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The skins of red grapes are known to contain antioxidants that have potential health benefits, and the color of ros\u00e9 comes from red grape skins. The darker the ros\u00e9, the more potential benefits (in moderation, of course). More color = more flavor, so win-win!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s meant to be consumed young and fresh. Not all wine needs to age, and there\u2019s nothing wrong with that. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also makes pretty great cocktails and frozen drinks. Give the Froz\u00e9 recipe below a try &#8211; it\u2019s basically an adult Slurpee.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We could <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">literally<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> go on forever about how fantastic ros\u00e9 is, but the singer, songwriter, model, Queen of Rap, actress, and poet Nicki Minaj perhaps put it most eloquently and concisely when she said \u201cget that ros\u00e9, get that, get that ros\u00e9.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Fros\u00e9<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">INGREDIENTS<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2765 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wtso.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/shutterstock_569790466-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wtso.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/shutterstock_569790466-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wtso.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/shutterstock_569790466-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.wtso.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/shutterstock_569790466.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 bottle of ros\u00e9 &#8211; we recommend a fruitier, New World style<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd cup sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8 ounces strawberries, hulled and quartered<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Juice of half a lemon<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup ice or 1 cup of frozen strawberries<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You&#8217;ll also need:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A shallow dish or bowl that will fit in your freezer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A medium-sized bowl<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A strainer or cheesecloth<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blender <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RECIPE<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour ros\u00e9 into a shallow dish and freeze 6 hours to overnight (it won\u2019t freeze solid because of the alcohol)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Put the quartered strawberries in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Let this mixture sit for an hour and then strain the syrup. To ensure a clear syrup, use cheesecloth. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Put the frozen wine into a blender with 1 cup of ice, the juice of half a lemon, and \u2153 cup of the strawberry syrup. Blend and add additional lemon juice for freshness or syrup for sweetness. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The whole mixture can be blended, frozen, and re-blended to save time &#8211; this will also give you a thicker slush.
