Whip chilled cream into stiff peaks.<\/p>\n<p>In a metal bowl, whisk lemon juice, 1 cup sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and lemon peel. Heat the bowl while whisking using a double boiler. Whisk carefully while heating until thickened. Cool lemon curd before layering trifle.<\/p>\n<p>Brush lemon syrup over lady fingers and layer the bottom of the container.
