Everyone loves boat days. The sweet sunshine, the warmth on your skin, the waves crashing softly as the boat glides through them\u2014there are so many reasons to fall in love with summer, and boat days are definitely one of them. That said, there are ways to make your boat days even better <\/em>(we know, we didn\u2019t think it was possible either). Our favorite way is to add wine to the mix\u2014safely, of course!<\/p>\n

Whether you want to turn the wine into a yummy cocktail or just go with a boat-safe glass of wine, this beverage is a fantastic choice for your boating goals. Below we get into some of the best wine to drink on a boat. Check it out!<\/p>\n

Ros\u00e9<\/h2>\n

Ros\u00e9 is typically regarded as a summer wine, and for good reason. Its myriad of styles<\/a> makes it the perfect choice for whatever boating occasion you may have coming up. Grab a bottle of Provence Ros\u00e9 for a chill pontoon day or a bottle of sparkling Sangiovese Ros\u00e9 for a classier experience (think yachting). Honestly, you\u2019ll hit the mark with whatever Ros\u00e9 style<\/a> you choose\u2014just make sure it\u2019s decently chilled before you pour!<\/p>\n

Champagne or Cava<\/h2>\n

Even if you don\u2019t have something to celebrate, you can still pop a bottle of bubbly and celebrate the sunshine! Especially on a sunny boat day, that classic pop will bring a smile to anyone\u2019s face. Go for a drier bottle of Champagne since you\u2019ll be spending the day in the sunshine; it\u2019s more refreshing that way.<\/p>\n

If you want something a little different, grab a bottle of Cava instead. A Spanish sparkling wine, Cava has a lot of similarities to Champagne, but it still tends to be a bit cheaper. It\u2019s slightly less acidic and can be a bit more fruit-forward\u2014try it out!<\/p>\n

Beaujolais<\/h2>\n

For those of you who need a red wine, even if it\u2019s not necessarily the best setting<\/em> for red wine, Beaujolais is your boating go-to. It has a refreshing acidity, low tannins, and fruity flavors\u2014it\u2019s a red wine that\u2019s great for chilling and taking on the boat. The Beaujolais wines of Fleurie are a great place to start, especially if you\u2019re new to this style of wine.<\/p>\n

Assyrtiko<\/h2>\n

Truly, what\u2019s more summer than a Greek wine and a day on the boat? Greek wine is some of the best wine to drink on a boat, and Assyrtiko is our favorite this season. With a crazy high acidity and minerality, it makes you feel like you\u2019re on the ocean just by sipping it. It\u2019s a wine native to Santorini, so make sure to channel all of the Grecian aesthetic you can!<\/p>\n

Riesling<\/h2>\n

Our last wine is a pretty obvious choice for summer\u2014Riesling! Similar to the rest on this list, Riesling\u2019s high acidity makes it perfect for days out in the sunshine, but it has just enough residual sugar to make it an easy drinker. If you\u2019re looking for a quick bottle to grab before your boat day, this is an easy choice to make.<\/p>\n
