A Screw, a Screwdriver, and a Hammer<\/span><\/h2>\n

Find the longest screw in your home and screw it in the cork with the screwdriver until there\u2019s about an inch left that\u2019s showing. Once you\u2019ve achieved this length, take the backside of the hammer, lock it under the screw, and remove the cork. This method will require some strength and is a safe option to use when you can\u2019t find the corkscrew.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Push in the Cork Into the Bottle With a Wooden Spoon<\/span><\/h2>\n

Grab a wooden spoon or a similar object, and push the cork down into the bottle. This method is for when you plan on consuming the entire bottle. The downside to this process is once the cork is down in the bottle, it\u2019s relatively impossible to remove.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If the wine bottle is old, you also risk having the cork fall apart into the wine<\/a>. You can strain the wine into a decanter to remove any pieces.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pump It Out\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Grab a bike pump and use the needle attachment. Stick the needle into the cork until it reaches the point between the wine and the cork. Begin to pump air into the bottle. As you do, the cork will slowly start to rise out of the bottle from the air pressure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Slap It Out With a Shoe<\/span><\/h2>\n

Wrap a towel around the bottom of the wine bottle, take a seat, and put the bottle, bottom side up, between your legs. Take a shoe and slap the bottle until the cork is about 90 percent out. If you\u2019re with other people, take turns smacking the bottom of the bottle with the shoe to alleviate fatigue. This method can take time to accomplish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
