2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District, Napa Valley
Tasting Notes
The 2015 Vineyard {511} harvest was nice and really ripe, coming early in the season, producing a big, rich wine with spicy aromatics that jump out of the glass. Baking cocoa, black currant, and blackberries are woven in with vanilla, and the mouthfeel is rich but fairly smooth.

Winemaker
Rob Lloyd earned his master's degree in enology from the University of California, Davis. He interned at Kent Rasmussen Winery, gaining first-hand knowledge about winemaking while at Davis. After graduating, Rob became the enologist and then assistant winemaker at La Crema in Sonoma. Returning to the Napa Valley, he joined Rombauer Vineyards in 2001 as assistant winemaker and then as winemaker. While at Rombauer, the winery received many new accolades and awards, including being named by Wine Spectator as one of the Top 100 wines in the world in 2007. With the desire to assist vineyard owners in creating the finest wines from their grapes, Rob left Rombauer in 2008. He established Lloyd Wine Consulting and now works with his clients to craft world-class wines. Rob is passionate about maximizing each vineyard's potential and translating it into outstanding, unique wines.

Tasting Notes: Brick red color. Aromas and flavors of mint, blackberry, chocolate, and fig with a round, lively, dry medium-full body and a warming, complex, long finish with notes of chocolate mint, cherry, black berry, and black tea with crunchy, chewy, coating tannins and moderate oak flavor. Big bold and beautiful, this unctuous Cabernet Sauvignon will delight and dazzle.

Tasting Notes: The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a deep purple hue to go with a big, juicy, fruit-forward style in its blue and black fruits as well as notes of chocolate, tobacco, and spicy wood. With full-bodied richness and a lush mouthfeel, it's best enjoyed over the coming 10-15 years or so. It's one hedonistic bomb of a wine.

Tasting Notes: Toasty aromas and savoury characters intertwined with notes of liquorice, plum and blackberry. Very rich and luxurious, full-bodied and weighty.

Tasting Notes: Expansive and weighty, this powerful wine has a soft and supple tannin structure and full-bodied ripeness, with highlights of blueberry, currant and dark cherry. Secondary notes of vanilla and dark chocolate emphasize its enduring richness.
