Domaine Gibault's 2020 Sauvignon Blanc has a nose full of peach, apricot, and lychee. On the palate, you will experience a fine texture with notes of citrus and pineapple that come alive with balanced acidity. Enjoy with grilled fish, seafood dishes, oysters, or as an aperitif.

Vintage
The 2020 season in the Loire Valley had two very distinct periods, a cool, rainy winter followed by a dry summer. This allowed the vines to flourish, which led to a bountiful harvest and allowed for full expression of the terroir.

Vinification
These Sauvignon Blanc vines sit in a plot of land called "Les Faitaux". The chalky-sandy soils and southern sun exposure make a perfect climate for vines to flourish. After harvesting, fermentation lasts 3-4 weeks in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. From there, the juice is aged on fine lees.

Winemaker's Comments
Mr. and Mrs. Gibault take pride in their estate by treating the vines with sustainable practices. Their goal is to make cuvees that express the true fruit expression each grape naturally brings. The 2020 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc from Domaine Gibault offers lovely aromatics of citrus, gooseberries, lychee and hints of dried herbs all coming together. On the palate this is fresh and inviting, while displaying excellent balance with just the right amount of acidity to keep it fresh and juicy through the finish.
