Property Overview
This tiny producer is an offshoot of the Fourrier-Delmotte winemaking family, with vineyards nestled in the beautiful hilly slopes of southern Champagne's Cote des Bar. The region between the Seine and Aube rivers has been part of a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2015. Its mosaic of vineyards, including Delfour's old vine parcels, are planted predominantly to Pinot Noir. It is a variety that thrives on the underlying Kimmeridgian limestone soil from the Jurassic period, which connects all the way to neighboring Chablis.
