Here's Why You Should Stock Up
- Since 1993, Buelher Vineyards has been crafting unique bottlings from their mountain-top winery just east of Saint Helena. Winemaker David Cronin shaped the stylistic and philosophical approaches at the outset, with a goal of intervening only when highlighting the fruit's natural character.
- 2019's harvest from estate vines possessed several advantages. The growing season was cooler and longer than many in the last decade, which played to the strengths of the diverse microclimates, slope grades, and soil types among the vineyard plots. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with differing character gave the cellar team a full range of flavors with which to create.
- Plum tart, spearmint, and blackberry aromas benefit from the 40% new French and American oak aging. That and the secondary malolactic fermentation create a velvet-like texture that leads to an enjoyable finish.
