Dear Friends,
Nineteen years ago, my brother Elliot and I started Wines ‘Til Sold Out with nothing more than a late-night idea and a shared passion for the wine industry. We got our start in the shed behind our brick-and-mortar store, just the two of us, figuring it out as we went. I handled the buying, Elliot ran the business, and together we built something bigger than we ever imagined. What started as a small idea has now led to over 40 million bottles sold.
Though Elliot is no longer with us, the foundation we laid together still remains in every bottle we pack, every deal we post, and every milestone we reach. I know he’d be proud of where we are today and a constant reminder of his lasting legacy we’ve built together.
Back in 2006, no one was talking about selling wine online. There were no playbooks, no platforms, and certainly no roadmap for how to do it “right.” But we stuck with it. And you, our members, stuck with us.
Over the years, we’ve weathered more than a few storms: the 2008 recession, an increasingly complex digital landscape, ever-changing regulations, and of course, the COVID-19 pandemic. That period changed the world, and it changed us. Like many, we had to rethink everything: how we work, how we communicate, and how we serve. But rather than pulling back, we leaned in.
That perseverance is something I’m especially proud of as we mark 19 years. Through every shift in technology, every bump in the industry, every bottle packed, we’ve never lost sight of what matters most: trust.
And that trust has brought us here. From our original “‘til sold out” flash deal model to the growth of our Case Club, to the launch of The Wine Market, each new milestone has been shaped by your loyalty and feedback.
This year, we’re not just celebrating an anniversary. We’re honoring resilience. We’re honoring the people who made this possible – from my brother to our team to you, our customers. And we’re toasting to the future, with more innovation, more access to the wines you love, and a continued commitment to serve you with care and respect.

joe, i’ve been a loyal customer for many years. my record of purchases goes back to 2009, but would guess my purchase of Wine from WTSO goes beyond that date.. in those 16+ years i’ve always appreciated the great customer service. harry k
