Tasting Notes
This wine opens bright and effusive with aromas both savory and spicy around a core of brined red cherry and blue fruits. On the nose, cocoa, allspice, tamarind, and tamari complement lifted notes of sarsaparilla, blueberry, blackberry, and violet. On the palate, flavors of tart black cherry and holiday cranberry mingle with hibiscus, rosewater, caramel sauce, and peppercorns producing a succulent and savory experience. The palate is expressive and expansive yet also nervy and contained creating a luminous and elegant whole with a finish that persists full of flavor tapering to a clean-lined mouthwatering close.

Principally made with Dundee Hills grapes, this sturdy wine offers a full-bodied mix of cherry fruit, barrel toast and mocha. There's a sweet, chocolaty midpalate that seems sure to please most consumers, though it leans a bit toward a fruity and chocolaty California style. This should drink well through 2025.
