Winemaking Notes
Hand-picked at the peak of flavor development, the grapes are crushed and cold soaked for 72 hours. The cap is punched down two times daily to maximize flavor extraction during fermentation and maceration, which lasts 14 to 21 days. The wine is aged in 50% new French oak barrels before bottling.

Tasting Notes
This elegant and alluring wine reveals an astounding array of aromas from exotic spices, licorice, vanilla, chocolate, fresh boysenberry, currant, and ripe red plum. The flavors are equally as complex as the aromas, with layered and graceful tannins and a lush, smooth texture. The finish is long and lingering, with bittersweet dark chocolate.
