Vineyard
Originating from more than 30-year-old Tempranillo vineyards with yields under 4,500 kg/hectares, and spread out among six different villages along the Ribera del Duero region. Distinct soils, altitudes, and sunlight exposure provide complexity to the final wine produced.

Winemaking
The plots are harvested at their moment of optimum ripeness after strict analyses and field-testing - it is there where the grape expresses its best qualities. The harvest is done manually and hand-selected upon entering the winery, leaving only the healthiest and ripest bunches. After destemming, the winemaking process begins using the gravity-flow method, avoiding the use of aggressive pumping, which ultimately hurts the grapes. The total maceration lasts about 23 days.

Aging
Fourteen months in oak barrels (80% French and 20% American), racked every four months. The final ensemble then rests in tanks for another four months before bottling. As a result of a naturally evolving process, this unfiltered wine may reveal light sediment over time.

Vintage
Cold winter with rainfall below the average, followed by a dry spring with rains at the blooming time. The summer kept on without rainfall and with good temperatures, which allowed the vines to advance in growth with good health. In September, unusually high temperatures accelerated the maturity of the grapes. Due to this situation, we focused our attention on the evolution of the vineyards and their hydric stress, with complete analytic control of every plot to preserve the balance and freshness of the grapes. Finally, the harvest began on September 25th.

This opaque, big red opens with dark fruit and crude oil aromas smeared with smoke. A deep, lush palate deals a ton of berry fruit, with flavors of blackberry, cassis and dark plum transitioning seamlessly onto a long finish graced by lemony oak. Drink through 2030.

A selection from mature vines in six villages of Ribera del Duero, this wine lasts on spice and clean red-berry fruit. Its structure gains tension and lift from some volatile acidity, which takes the fruit toward dimpled black plum. Still, it feels cool and airy, a pleasingly rustic Ribera for hearty meats and cured sausages. (06/19)

The modern and ripe 2015 Origen de Resalte was produced with fruit from [...] Ribera del Duero, fermented and aged separately and blended after the elevage. It's a good representation of the contemporary Ribera del Duero, with measured oak and good balance. It has power and elegance, and it's very pleasant.
