A unique blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot makes the Oliviero Toscani 2012 'OT' unlike any other Tuscan blend out there. Each of these international varieties adds a distinct touch to the wine, ultimately resulting in a rich and savory expression that wafts from the glass with wild berries, sandalwood, mineral-laden earth, and smokey spice. This Italian red is equally welcome at your warm-weather barbecue alongside grilled portobello burgers, or beside the fireplace on a cool winter night while enjoying a hearty lamb stew.

OT 2012
Wine Notes
OT is our estate's flagship wine. While every vintage represents the epitome of what the vineyard has to offer, the meticulous blend of wine never changes - Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
Vintage Notes
Qualitatively favorable vintage, despite the very hot climate. The production load was balanced, and the grapes arrived very healthy from the harvest, without water stress or withering. The productive load in force was homogeneous, with less heavy bunches, smaller berries, and thick skins. The wines collected are very concentrated, structured, and powerful.
Vinification
Made only from the best hand-selected bunches from the Monteromboli vineyard, this wine is matured in French oak for 12 months, followed by 36 months in bottle prior to release.
Tasting Notes
With its deeply inky color, this wine has been lovingly nurtured for 12 months in oak. The nose displays seductive aromas of exotic spice, freshly cracked pepper, sweet red fruits, and underlying herbaceous complexity. The palate is broad and concentrated, intensely flavored but balanced by fresh acidity with soft, smooth tannins and a lingering finish.

A meaty style, this red exhibits blackberry, black cherry, black pepper and loam aromas and flavors. This leans toward gamy, woodsy notes from maturity, with a dry, chalky feel on the finish. Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2028. - BS
