Owner's Note
Alta means "height" in Spanish and perfectly describes the mountainside site of the Alta home vineyard in the Atlas Peak district of the Napa Valley, as well as owners' Fred and Nina Oliai's aspirations to craft only the best possible, limited release wines from the region.

Tasting Notes
The 2019 Chardonnay is a rich-colored Napa Chardonnay with aromas of cooked apples, marzipan, and citrus fruits. Notes of toasty oak, butterscotch, and spice cake. Full-bodied, fleshy, forward, and delicious.

Production
The grapes were cold pressed and partially barrel fermented at a low temperature for three weeks. The wine went through partial malolactic fermentation leaving behind just enough understated acidity to freshen the palate.

Enjoyment
The crispness makes this the perfect wine to pair with fish and cream-based pasta dishes.
