Winemaker's Notes
While the 2011 vintage may be remembered for the rains of early October, my prevailing impression is of elegant wines that show an uncommon sense of place. Gone are the overripe, over-extracted versions that have homogenized wine across appellations, ushering in beautiful wines that have a true sense of terroir. You get a sense of the incredible Nimble Vineyards in every nuance of the 2011 Nobis Syrah. To achieve optimal physiologic and phenolic ripeness in this unique vintage speaks volumes about the diverse site and attention to detail in the farming.

Tasting Notes
The nose is a beautiful balance of dried lavender, dried game meat, and hints of baking spice. The front palate is bright and lush with blue fruit and rich notes of roasted coffee. This wine shows the balance and restraint expected from 2011. The tannins are well integrated and approachable from a young age. The finish is long and pure, leaving no doubt that this wine will age gracefully.
