While just bottled the week prior to this tasting, the 2019 Chateauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes wasn’t showing any worse for it and offered a beautiful perfume of blackberries, raspberries, ground pepper, and garrigue. The purity of fruit is spot on, it’s medium to full-bodied, has a balanced texture, and a great finish.
