Vintage
The 2019 year started with copious rainfall. The long, warm summer saw very few extreme heat events, with foggy mornings setting the stage for vibrant and expressive wines. The long, relatively mild finish to the season - not without its unpredictable moments - helped preserve freshness and finesse in the fruit with abundant hang time teasing out a great color, structure, and soft tannins.

Vineyard
The Callback Vineyard is located in Oakville, in the heart of Napa Valley, about eight miles up Highway 29 on the left-hand side, planted with Clone 337. Hand-sorted, premium Cabernet grapes. This vineyard produces fruit that is softer and more rounded on the palate, a touch more aromatic, showing more as plums than cherries.

Tasting Notes
Purple-ruby in color, this wine is dark and rich even to the eye. A plethora of aromatics greet you from the glass, beginning with blueberry and black currant. This 2019 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is a supple, soft wine with refined tannins. A zippy nose of rose and spice scents paves the way for a more powerful leather saddle, cedar, and black tea elements followed by beautiful berry notes. It is wonderfully balanced and structured to improve over the next five years.
