Tasting Notes
This wine, mostly Sangiovese grape, greets the eye with a very intense ruby-red color. It opens with a complex and elegant bouquet with nuances of mature fruits and vanilla. Soft on the palate, well balanced with a persistent aftertaste.

Blackberry and dark-cherry aromas with some walnuts and dried flowers. Medium-bodied with chewy tannins and solid fruit. Plenty going on. A year or two of bottle age will put it in an even better place. Drinkable now, but better in 2024.

The 2019 Chianti Classico Riserva Castelgreve is an herbaceous and straightforward wine, with aromas of pine, baked black cherry, and fresh soil. Savory through the palate, with meaty tannins, and a linear drive, there are notes of orange peel, rocky earth, and clove. A solid wine for the table to drink over the next few years.
