Renovations on the 14th-century Palazzo Vecchio (not to be confused with the town hall of Florence) began in the 1980s - the goal being to move away from bulk production and into commercial bottlings. Terroir
Perched atop a hill and surrounded by vineyards, Palazzo Vecchio commands a 360-degree view of the countryside that is acclaimed for its beauty. It enjoys a unique environmental situation, not only due to the position of its vineyards and the recognized quality of its soil but also for its particularly favourable climatic conditions, with light breezes that caress the grapes, keeping them perfectly healthy.

Wine Description
This vintage Nobile represents all the characteristics typically found in the wines of Palazzo Vecchio linked both to tradition and contemporary values.

Vineyard Practices
In January, dry pruning, and in May, green pruning, topping in June/July. The bunches are thinned out in mid-July if the vine production is too high to improve the quality of the grapes.

Harvest
September/October. Manual harvest to select out best bunches.

Fragrant purple-flower, baking-spice and ripe plum aromas mingle with scents of wild herb and forest floor. On the taut linear palate, fine-grained tannins support offering dried black cherry, licorice and a hint of tobacco.
