2014 Bordigioni Merlot

The valley floor of Sonoma Valley produces lovely Merlot grapes, and we're proud to showcase ours. We blend in about 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from our vineyard, adding structure and balance, and it just tastes great. The mouthfeel is lush and silky smooth. This is a really great Merlot.

Our vineyard at the historic Annadel Estate Winery is located in the furthest northwest corner of Sonoma Valley, CA. Strong coastal influences provide a slightly cooler climate and our grapes "hang" longer to create that elegant, well-balanced, classic French take on Bordeaux varietals.

We farm our vineyard organically and make wine using minimal sulfites for protection. We make "clean" wine, in that we take extra care in sorting both in the field and at the winery to ensure that our tanks and bins are free of most matter other than grapes. This makes for "clean" wine that not only tastes better but also needs less protection.

We are a small, family winery in Sonoma Valley, CA, with minimal wholesale sales and distribution.
