Tasting
The wine displays a deep ruby robe with a light shade of dark purple, which will fade with time. The nose is of spices, thyme, breadcrumbs, and roasted onion. At every point, you will find other perfumes. Do not worry, you are not sick; it is simply that a good Chateauneuf evolves in the glass due to its high complexity. In the mouth, it is the roundness that dominates, progressively invading the palate. A walk in the forest, with scents of mushrooms, then a passage in the kitchen with aromas of roasting, of grilling, of smoke, of meat marinade. All of this without any aggressivity; on the contrary, tannins are silky, round, smooth, and velvety. For complete happiness, it would be preferable to forget this bottle in your cellar, as this wine has not yet totally revealed itself.

Tasting Notes: Generous aromas of baked plum, and ripe black fruit are framed by violet. lavender, crushed gravel and spice. The palate is energetic, with good acidic lift revealing licorice, sanguine notes and black tea through a persistent finish. A brief decant makes this wine approachable now, though cellaring through 2035 should be rewarding.

Tasting Notes: A very ripe and generous wine, but with the necessary structure to hold the fruit together. The alcohol is a touch raised, but that's the price you pay for fully ripe Grenache. Creamy and generous on the palate, with oodles of unctuous berry fruit. No new oak. [...].

Tasting Notes: Crafted from vines planted across five distinct parcels, the 2023 Les Vignes de Juliette is elegant and ambitious, evoking aromas of dark wild berries, dark cherries, spices and fresh thyme. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and layered, it's beautifully framed by velvety tannins with a taut but nicely integrated profile, concluding with a pure, penetrating finish. [...].

Tasting Notes: A similar blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Vignes De Juliette is cut from the same cloth yet has a touch more density in its black cherry and darker berry fruits as well as peppery herbs, licorice, and sappy flower-like aromatics. It's medium to full-bodied, has solid mid-palate depth, and ripe tannins. Note: This cuvee is identical to the classic cuvee from this estate but is released under the Les Vignes de Juliette label.
