Clos l'Eglise's long tradition of great wines has flown over the years. Ranking among the top Pomerol wines since the 19th century, the estate now belongs to the Garcin family, who work passionately to make a great wine from a unique terroir that contains iron deposits, giving it a special character.

Tasting Notes:Â This is the Clos L'Eglise that takes it all to another level with incredible brightness and focus. Full-bodied yet racy and so long. It goes on for minutes with the violets, lavender and hot stones. Pomerol magic.

Tasting Notes:Â I loved the 2010 Clos L'Eglise, a wonderfully complex, layered, seamless Pomerol that has perfectly ripe red and black fruits intermixed with classic truffle, smoke, and leafy herb nuances. This flawlessly balanced beauty has medium to full-bodied richness, ripe, velvety tannins, and a beautiful finish. Drink 2025-2045.

Tasting Notes:Â Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Clos L'Eglise needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock notes of preserved plums, black raspberries, and wild blueberries, plus hints of crushed rocks, moss-covered bark, and aniseed with a waft of unsmoked cigars. Full-bodied, rich, and with lovely tension, the palate has firm, chewy tannins and loads of black and red berry layers, finishing long and minerally.

Tasting Notes:Â The 2010 Clos l'Eglise is more closed and introverted on the nose compared to the previous vintage, but affording it 15-20 minutes in the glass, it reveals beguiling redcurrant, raspberry coulis, rose petal and crushed stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a little more weight than the 2009. This is vibrant and surprisingly spicy, a liberal sprinkling of black pepper towards the finish that fans out wonderfully. This is just outstanding, a high-point for this Pomerol estate. Tasted at the Clos l'Eglise vertical.

Tasting Notes:Â Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Clos l'Eglise leaps from the glass with vivacious baked raspberries, warm red and black plums and dried herbs notes plus wafts of pencil shavings and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has impressive energy with a firm line of chewy tannins and bold freshness, finishing with loads of zip in its step.

Tasting Notes:Â Concentrated with sweet, ripe, lush, concentrated, dark red berries, that are complicated with the addition of dark cherry, even darker chocolate and truffle. Plush textures, depth of flavor and energy make everything work here. Give it another 5 years and this will be even better.

Tasting Notes: Offers gorgeous mouthfeel, range of fruit and length. A velvety feel belies the dense structure buried here, while thoroughly enticing linzer torte, plum sauce and blackberry pâte de fruit flavors pump along, supported by singed spice, apple wood and ganache. Displays flesh, structure, definition and drive. One for the cellar. Best from 2016 through 2030.
