Background
Bernard Lonclas started his highly respected Champagne business in the village of Bassuet in 1976, planting Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier in the beautifully south-east sloping cretaceous limestone-infused hillsides of the Coteaux du Vitryat.

Vineyards
The vineyards comprise varying altitudes and cover some 25 acres, of which over a third are considered old vines. Lonclas' non-vintage wines are aged in his extensive cellars for five years before release, and designated vintages much longer.

Tasting Notes
This exuberant rose Champagne is aged for over four years on its lees and is made up of 10% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier, and 60% Chardonnay. It is brimming with berries, especially wild strawberries, and offers great balance on the zesty palate with fine bubbles and a voluptuous citrus-laden finish.

An unusually juicy Champagne! Just dancing with life and a big fat smacking kiss of ripe raspberries. This is exuberant, falling over itself generous, a punnet of fresh-picked summer. A really delicious circularity of flavour in the mouth, strawberry shortcake piled with strawberries, like with cream. A mouthful of cherry-sherbet sorbet on a deep silver spoon to finish. Love it.
