History
The Chateau des Cosse is nicknamed the 'Giant of the Loire Valley.' The highest castle in France was built in the 11th century. Acquired in 1502 by the Cosse de Brissac family, the castle now shines in the heart of Anjou. The vineyard has been on the family's land since the construction of the Chateau. The Cosse de Brissac family has entrusted the vineyard to the Caves de la Loire, renowned for their know-how in the Loire Valley.

Terroir
Climate: Temperate, rather dry oceanic climate
Geology: Dark soils of schist from l'Anjou noir
Varietal: Chenin Blanc

Winemaking
Hand picked. First alcoholic fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, then second fermentation in the bottle with the addition of a tirage liqueur. Aging on slats for at least 12 months.

Tasting Notes
Beautiful pale yellow color. Nose of white flowers. Long and balanced mouth. Sophisticated and discreet. Great finesse of the bubbles.
