Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District Napa Valley Reserve 2022

Winemaking
Grapes were hand-picked and optically sorted around 24.5 brix from the top of Spring Mountain District. After a 2-day cold soak, tank temperatures were brought up to 90 degrees for maximum balanced extraction. After full extraction, temperatures were brought down, cooling the tank and slowing fermentation to capture the freshness and elegance of the fruit. We pressed "sweet," allowing the final fermentation to occur in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of dusty graphite, crushed rock, and dried herbs linger with cocoa powder and coffee beans in this intensely concentrated, powerful, mountain-grown wine. Seamless, complex, and structured, the palate offers a dense array of red and dark fruit flavors highlighted by cassis and tobacco leaves with hints of leather and blackberry compote. Soft, rich, and round, it delivers well-integrated, resolved tannins buoyed by a lively palate of bright acidity and a long-lasting finish.
