About the Producer
The Central Coast of California is a blessed region, naturally endowed with diverse microclimates that produce wines of exceptional power and density. Levo works to showcase the richness of our terroir while still maintaining delicate varietal specificity, electric acidity, immense tension, and perhaps most importantly, a sense of levity or lift in the glass. It is our belief that wine has an innate ability to elevate an experience, whether that be a special moment with family, a celebration, or a fine meal. We focus on Rhone varietals.

Winemaking Notes
For over a decade, Bret Urness has continued to craft micro-lots in a warehouse located in Tin City, Paso Robles, California. He aims to keep production low so he can personally shepherd each barrel and maintain complete quality control. Levo has no annual case production, as we bottle only the best barrels in the cellar. Whatever doesn't make the cut is not included in our final blends.

The Grenache-dominated 2017 Grenache Souled Out sports a ruby/purple hue as well as notes of blackberries, blueberries, ground pepper, earth, and sappy underbrush. Deep glistening magenta. Intense red and blue fruit, floral and spice qualities on the expansive nose. Pliant, appealingly sweet black raspberry, mulberry and violet pastille flavors are sharpened by a peppery flourish and a hint of smoky minerality.
