The Tench Cabernet is as massive and concentrated as any wine we produce. Produced from the Tench Vineyard in the Oakville AVA.

One of the stars of the Bevan lineup, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard boasts seductive aromas of ripe cherries and loamy earth. It's full-bodied and rich, with a long, velvety-textured finish that combines savory and fruity in a compelling, complex package.

Tasting Notes: From one of the top sites in the valley and all Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard isn't far off the Calixtro cuvee, yet it's more forward and opulent, with savory red and black fruits, notes of iron, dusty earth, leather, and baking spice, full-bodied richness and depth, and ripe yet building, substantial tannins. It offers some up-front charm today, but it's going to reward 3-4 years of bottle age and should evolve for 25-30 years. This is another serious, age-worthy, incredible wine from Bevan that readers will absolutely love.

Tasting Notes: The 2021 Tench Vineyard Cabernet is an immense, towering wine from Bevan Cellars. It opens with profound aromas of blueberries, blackberries, and creme de cassis, followed by nuances of spices, violets, gravel, iron and hints of dark chocolate that all explode from the glass. It is full-bodied, dense, and powerful, offering remarkable layers of dark black and blue fruits that envelope the palate. It is structured with big, plush ripe tannins that provide both richness and depth. It continues to deliver loads of ripe dark fruits, exotic spices and crushed floral notes as it enters the long-lasting, concentrated finish, making this a powerful and robust Cabernet. There will be no need to wait very long to approach this, it's forward and expressive now and should continue to drink well for quite some time.

Tasting Notes: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon comes barreling out of the glass with notes of crushed blackcurrants, black raspberries, and chocolate-covered cherries giving way to hints of charcoal, garrigue, and cast-iron pan. The full-bodied palate delivers a super taut backbone of ripe, firm tannins and lovely freshness to support the muscular black fruits, finishing long and minerally.

Tasting Notes: The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is an exotic wine. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, sweet spice, new leather, licorice and chocolate are all dialed up in this opulent, dense Cabernet. Here, too, Russell Bevan has done a terrific job in taming the Tench tannins. Floral accents lift the finish effortlessly.
