The Wine
This is our flagship wine that best defines our winemaking style and terroir. It is a proportional representation of Pinot Noir clones grown on our property and the center point of our brand.

The Vineyard
Violet Vines Estate Vineyard sits in the coastal foothills of the McMinnville AVA. It is comprised of 88 acres, with 26 of those acres planted under vine. The vines span elevations between 450-650 feet above sea level and benefit from the sweeping winds of the Van Duzer corridor.

Vintage
The 2023 growing season was brilliant throughout and laid the foundation for an outstanding vintage. The year started slowly with a cool, wet spring, resulting in a slight delay in bud break. The remainder of the growing season was warm, steady, and dry with only one brief temperature spike.

Winemaker's Comments
The fruit was hand-harvested, hand-sorted, and destemmed. Fermentation occurred in one-ton open-top bins. After pressing, the wine was barrel-aged for 12 months in French oak, 33% of which was new.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of cranberry, mushroom, and forest floor are lovely on the nose. Flavors of Bing cherry, cranberry, and raspberry lead the way, followed closely by a damp forest floor and a bouquet of dried herbs.
