2023 Ribbon Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir

Ribbon Ridge Vineyard is a small, family-owned vineyard in the heart of the Ribbon Ridge AVA in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. The vineyard is located on a 41-acre parcel on the west flanks of Ribbon Ridge. It has a rolling southern exposure created by a drainage that separates it from the Beaux Freres Upper Terrace vineyard to the south and Sequitur Vineyard to the southeast. The predominant soil type has long been considered Willakenzie clay loam. However, more recent surveys indicate a variety of clay loam soils, with six related soil types found in Ribbon Ridge Vineyard. In the spring of 2001, nine acres of grapes were planted, with the first commercial harvest in 2003. A portion of the fruit is kept for the Ribbon Ridge Vineyard label, while the remaining has been contracted to other local wineries since 2003.
