Wine Description
A Barolo dedicated to Armando Parusso, founder of the present company, produced by blending all the prestigious Nebbiolo grapes coming from the Mariondino, Mosconi, and Bussia crus.

Vineyard Details
Exposition: South, southwest, west
Altitude: 250-450 m.a.s.l.
Harvest: Grapes are harvested strictly by hand with the utmost care in small-holed baskets

Vinification
After a soft pressing, the grapes undergo a long maceration. Alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, without the use of sulfites, and with careful control of maceration times and temperature. Aging in small oak barrels for a minimum of 18 months in contact with the spent yeasts. Refinement in the bottle at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees C.

Flavor: Soft on the palate, harmonious, fresh, delicate in tannins, rich in red fruit

Tasting Notes: Dedicated to paternal figure Armando, who founded the estate in 1971, this is another faithful example of the house style that puts aromas of dried herb, bramble and dark grape skins front and center. The Parusso 2021 Barolo Perarmando also offers aromas of rose and dried iris. The bouquet is linear and focused. The wine follows through with a powerful and direct style over a long finish. There are hints of clove and exotic spice to close.

Tasting Notes: Lots of tar, prunes and a hint of lavender. The palate is medium-bodied with a set of precise, timid tannins, accompanied by juicy blue-fruit flavors that persist throughout the finish. Better from 2028.

Tasting Notes: Eucalyptus, juniper, raspberry, cherry and rose hip flavors are allied to a succulent texture in this Barolo. Fruity overall despite its balsamic side and well-balanced, with a moderate grip of tannins on the earthy finish. Best from 2028 through 2043.

Tasting Notes: Named for the family patriarch, this harmonious blend from Bussia, Mosconi, and Mariondino weaves dark star anise with fresh fennel fronds. Strawberry preserves and cherry jam bring their lush richness, while candied orange peel adds brightness. The palate dances between herb and fruit, everything concentrated but balanced as these legendary sites sing together. Drink Now - 2045.

Tasting Notes: The 2021 Barolo Perarmando is a pretty powerful entry-level wine, if that can [sic] term can even be used. This blend from Mosconi, Mariondino and Bussia delivers tons of textural impact. Red cherry fruit, mocha, spice, incense and dried herbs are all dialed up. Huge, imposing tannins feel a bit raw today, while strong savory notes [...] are assertive. I find this a bit challenging to taste today.

Tasting Notes: Lustrous mid ruby with bricky rim. Exotic nose - lifted, vigorous. Cherry, maracuja, Earl Grey tea, exotic spice and oak. Suave cherry and maracuja fruit layer on gravelly, firm tannins. Can be approached, but ideally needs more bottle age.
