On the palate, this wine is smooth, with elegant flavors of cocoa, cherry cola, and black cherry, followed by notes of cocoa nibs and Christmas spice. This classic, more old-world style Cabernet has a balanced palate, a refreshing finish, and a strong sense of place from the Rutherford terroir.

Deep garnet-purple colored, it gives up red and black currants, herbs, earth, baked cherries and cedar aromas. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy with good concentration and an energetic finish.
