While Piedmont's most famous appellations, such as Barolo and Barbaresco, traditionally yield structurally tannic Nebbiolo meant for long cellaring, a recent trend among innovative producers offers earlier-accessing expressions of the noble grape that reflect many of the region's greatest values.
Azienda Agricola Bric Cenciurio's 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo, a varietal estate-bottling, showcases the aromatic, youthfully enjoyable style beautifully, following delicate maceration and barrique aging.
With not much inventory to go around and massive savings available for a flash, sharing this magnum-sized 93-point northwestern Italian red wine has never been more carefree if you're fortunate enough to secure a portion!

Fermentation and maceration for seven to eight days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is racked off and aged in barrels for approximately four to five months. The kind of barrels used depends on the vintage. A short period of aging in bottle occurs before release, ensuring that all the elegance of this variety can be expressed.

Tasting Notes: This Langhe Nebbiolo doesn't try too hard, it just shows up and gets it right. Pure red fruit rises with clarity, touched by rose and a hint of spice, all lifted and vibrant. The tannins are fine, acidity lively, and the whole thing feels easy but far from simple. Fresh, honest, and seriously tasty.
