Background
This is a particular wine since it comes from the vines of the Joseph Drouhin estate as well as from the younger vines of Clos des Mouches and other Premier Crus of Beaune that have been declassified (a Beaune wine can be declassified into Cote de Beaune).

Vintage
The vagaries of the 2021 vintage have greatly affected yields, resulting in one of the smallest harvests Burgundy has ever seen. The reds are harmonious and elegant, with lower alcohol levels compared to previous vintages. It is a vintage with a rather Burgundian style, showing fruitiness and a lot of freshness.

Production
Grapes are harvested by hand in open crates. If necessary, a careful sorting is performed. Total destemming. In accordance with the terroir and the vintage profile, we ferment and macerate for 2 to 3 weeks in small open vats, marked by punching of the cap and pumping over. The yeasts are indigenous (natural). Pressing in a vertical press. Separation of the ends of the presses based on tasting. Aging in oak barrels (20% new).

Tasting Notes
A true delight and a great harmony. A beautiful purple color. On the nose, delicate, fruity aromas of strawberry and red currant. On the palate, the tannins are refined, lending a nice roundness to the body. Elegant aftertaste.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of raspberries, button mushrooms, hazelnuts and peppercorns. Juicy and very drinkable with a medium body, fine and powdery tannins, and a balanced, fresh finish. Delicious now.

Tasting Notes: An earthy version, with cherry and berry fruit. This stays focused through the moderately long, crisp finish, showing good balance and length. Drink now through 2027.
