Estate
Nestled in the heart of Provence, Chateau Paradis lives up to its name as a hidden paradise of lyrical landscapes and seductive wines. Under the bright Provencal sky, the Chateau Paradis estate flourishes on a unique terroir located at 200 meters above sea level. Clay-limestone soils, combined with the warm Mediterranean climate and Mistral winds, create ideal conditions for producing exceptional wines. L'Oiseau du Paradis pays tribute to the craftsmanship of Vignobles Paradis, revealing the full splendor of its terroir and grape varieties.
Terroir
The estate of Chateau Paradis totals 160 hectares, 80 of which are dedicated to vineyards. Within these 80 hectares is an exceptional parcel of approximately 30-year-old vines. Because of their age, these vines can reach deep into a rich clay-limestone terroir, 650 feet above sea level. Located on the north face of the Trevaresse Mountain in front of the Durance River, the vines benefit from the Mistral winds coming from the Rhone Valley and the cool climate that follows the river. Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive in the warm Mediterranean climate and produce perfectly crafted rose. Clay imparts power and aromatics to the wine, while the chalky limestone rounds it out, bringing fruit notes and a nice minerality.
Winemaking and Profile
The grapes are carefully selected and vinified with artisanal precision to extract the essence of the terroir and grape varieties. Harvesting takes place during the coolest hours of the day to preserve the aromas. Fermentation at low temperatures gives the wine fresh citrus aromas. The blend offers the perfect balance between freshness and aromatics. The 2025 L'Oiseau du Paradis has a delicate aromatic profile, with white flower and fresh peach notes complemented by subtle red berry nuances that reflect the region's classic rose character. The palate shows lively acidity and gentle minerality, keeping flavors vibrant and balanced through a long, harmonious finish. Its style is consistent with Provence rose's hallmark clarity and refreshing drive.
Food Pairing
Perfect with grilled meats and Provencal vegetables and cheeses such as chevre, mild goat, or soft, creamy cows' milk cheeses.
