Tasting Notes
Brilliant and intense ruby red with garnet nuances that develop over time. Complex and enveloping bouquet, with aromas of ripe cherry, plum, violet, and hints of sweet spices, balsamic herbs, leather, and tobacco. Mineral undertones recall the terroir of Montalcino's hillsides. Full-bodied, well-balanced, with fine tannins and a persistent, savory finish

Tasting Notes: The 2021 Brunello di Montalcino mixes violets, lavender and sage before giving way to crushed blackberries. It splashes across the palate with crisp wild berry fruits and nuances of autumnal spice as tannins quickly amass toward the close. The finish is long and chewy, with a saturation of primary concentration and a subtle citrus twang.

Tasting Notes: On the nose, aromas of hot tar, wild fennel, sage, graphite, pepper and black cherry swirl from the glass. On the palate, blackberries accentuate the black cherry element, while undertones of dark chocolate and espresso provide balance. Bright acid shines past linear tannins.

Tasting Notes: Mid to deep ruby with orange tinges. A little subdued at first but with brooding concentration and hints of black pepper. Supple and with wired acidity and grainy tannins, but could do with a little more stuffing. (WS)
