The vineyard, planted by Ken Cancilla from 1999 to 2005, comprises 20 acres in the Tualatin Hills AVA of the Willamette Valley. The vineyard is in the foothills of the Coast Range on sedimentary Melbourne soil. This bottling was from Pommard and a small percentage of 777.

Tasting Notes
Bold and bright with raspberries, plums, eucalyptus, violets, and cola on the nose, with a taste of berry tarts, Bing cherries, dried herbs, and some spice. Long, smooth finish with good acidity.

Tasting Notes: The fruit on the nose is muted, with faint hints of blackcurrant battling with notes of leather and basil. Tart, not-quite-ripe blackberries are joined by a strong-brewed green tea flavor. This is a lighter-bodied Pinot Noir where modest acidity and integrated tannins seem at home.

Tasting Notes: Coming from old vines planted from 1999 to 2005, the 2022 Cancilla Vineyard Pinot Noir saw 25% new French oak for a period of 18 months. Pouring a medium to deep ruby-purple core with a light blue rim, it pops with aromas of spiced blue plums, cedary herbs, lavender flowers, sweet cinnamon, and hints of blueberry compote.
