80% Johnson Vineyard with sedimentary Willakenzie soils in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. 20% Chestnut Hill Vineyard, located at 900+ feet in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, with Jory volcanic soil.

Winemaker's Note
Our 2023 Chardonnay is sourced from two of our estate vineyards, Chestnut Hill Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA and Johnson Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Featuring impressive bright fruit aromatics, this wine was fermented and aged in French oak to build character and textural richness. The nose is lively, featuring white peach, green apple, lemon curd, and mandarin orange with accents of creme brulee and marzipan. Texturally, this Chardonnay is well-balanced yet surprisingly rich, with excellent natural acidity, making it an extremely versatile food wine.

Tasting Notes: The 2023 Lemelson Vineyards Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley spent 14 months in French oak, with 20% being new barrels. It opens with savory aromatics of crushed lemongrass, chalk dust, and chamomile tea. On the palate, white peach and underripe pear unfold over a stony backbone, carrying both brightness and texture. The finish is clean and lifted, lingering with zesty lemon peel and a faint herbal nuance.

Tasting Notes: Ripe and redolent with accents of vanilla and oaky spice. The Lemelson Chardonnay spends more than a year in 20% new French oak. Aromas of sweet candied oranges, lemon cake and vanilla bean give way to a palate that pops with ripe creamy citrus tones, smooth chalky minerality and a brisk, driven finish.

Tasting Notes: A refreshing and easygoing Chardonnay, the 2023 Chardonnay Willamette Valley is a bright silver/yellow color. This medium-bodied white offers notes of melon, lemon pith, fresh flowers, and powdery earth. It’s light on its feet and has an elegant feel, with delicate floral notes on the finish. Drink over the next few years.
