Domaine de la Decelle is located in the heart of the Enclave des Papes in Valreas. Due to its latitude and altitude, it is subject to unique climatic conditions that are conducive to the creation of structured, complex wines of incredible freshness. Convinced of the wine's potential, Benoit and Frederic Lavau acquired the domaine in 2010.

Tasting Notes
Complex nose of red fruit, marzipan, spices, and candied fruit. Notes of cocoa when the wine opens up. Full and fresh on the palate, with notes of strawberry jam and chocolate overtones. Soft, silky tannins with a long, fruity finish.

Soil: Clay-limestone
Yield: 40 hl/ha
Blend: 50% Grenache, 50% Syrah
Vinification: Traditional with rack-and-return and pumping over; 30-day maceration
Aging: 6 months in French oak barrels previously used for 1 vintage

Tasting Notes: A focused, dense and flavorful red. It shows aromas of cherries, sweet berries, exotic spices and grilled meat. It’s medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Spicy and lively with plenty of texture and generous berry character on the finish. Drink or hold.
