Riesling comes in many forms, but we're especially fond of the dry style from Alsace. This 2024 bottling by Sohler and Fils builds on 14 generations of family know-how and passion, delivering a refreshing, terroir-driven white wine that's perfectly suited to warm-weather enjoyment. With a generous amount knocked off the price, you can't go wrong securing a share of these bottles!
Terroir
This wine comes exclusively from south-facing plots, rooted in a terroir composed of pink sandstone. Therefore, it benefits from a light, very responsive soil that warms up quickly and draws water right after a rainfall. This type of soil also enables the grapevine roots to dive deeper to access finer minerals.
Vinification
Manual harvesting. Static cold must settling 24 hours after pressing. Fermentation between 15 and 17 degrees C. Racking and aging on fine lees before filtration and bottling.
Analytical Data
Alcohol: 13.00%
Sugar: 1 g/L, dry wine
Tasting Notes
Offering citrus and exotic aromas in its youth, it later develops a more mineral aromatic range while preserving the freshness and fruitiness of its early years.
Wine and Food Pairing
Riesling is the archetype of food wines. It pairs wonderfully with pure, authentic dishes (scallop and fish carpaccio, crabs, sea urchin, sushi) and enhances the iodized character of fish and shellfish. It also matches perfectly with white meat and lemon desserts.

Tasting Notes: With its aromas of lemon balm, dill and apples, this is a strikingly cool and restrained Alsace dry Riesling. At once leesy and stony on the sleek, medium-bodied palate. Very racy herbal finish. [...]. Drink or hold.

Tasting Notes: [...] Categorised as sec/dry on the back label. [...]. Fine-boned with really lovely green-apple and white-peach fruit. A little hint of gingery spice, satsuma peel and then a whirling buzz of intense acidity right in the middle at its heart. Quite delicate. (TC)
