Vinification
The ripe grapes were pressed and left to ferment with maceration on the skins in a thermoregulated stainless steel tank for 41 days at 23-28 degrees C. Maturation lasted 25 months in 30- and 50-hl Slavonian oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of new leather, dog rose, violet and dark spice take center stage on the elegantly structured and fragrant 2021 Bussia from Cantina del Nebbiolo. It’s also utterly delicious, doling out ripe Morello cherry, raspberry compote, rhubarb and cake spice accompanied by a backbone of velvety tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it well balanced. A fantastic showing from this impressive cooperative cellar.

Tasting Notes: A refined and intense nose of strawberries, blood oranges, cinnamon and violets. This precision is supported on the palate by firm, well-packed tannins that are austere enough to be in balance, with acidity and fruit concentration. Medium-bodied. Polished in the finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
