Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red with intense garnet reflections. The bouquet is ample and elegant, surprising the senses with long balsamic and floral notes, accompanied by spices like black pepper, notes of currants, and small berries. It is enveloping on the palate, delicate, very well balanced between soft, velvety tannins and savory, mineral notes. Very persistent flavor. It goes well with roast Chianina beef, Fiorentina steak, game stews, but also with first courses with game ragout, which are the natural accompaniment to this wine, which requires equally noble flavors.

Tasting Notes: Black cherry, blackberry and floral flavors are at the core of this dense, structured red. Ripe, this gets support from its beefy tannins; yet somehow this all seems to hang together, with the ripe, saturated fruit coming back on the spicy finish. Best from 2028 through 2047.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of blue flower, baked plum and Mediterranean scrub form the nose. On the robust palate, the warmth of alcohol accompanies ripe Morello cherry, raspberry compote, dried mint and mocha. Firm, close-grained tannins give the finish grip. Drink 2028-2033.

Tasting Notes: Very pale in color, the 2020 Brunello di Montalcino has cranberry, pomegranate, and persimmon notes, with a lifted lilac perfume. Most of the enjoyment of this wine is on the nose, which is lovely. The palate is light and pretty, with energetic acidity and feathery tannins, and a medium finish.

Tasting Notes: The 2020 Brunello di Montalcino bursts from the glass with a vivid mix of crushed black cherries and autumnal spices elevated by minty herbs and fresh pine shavings. While soft-textured and round, this maintains a juicy personality, mixing blackberry and citrus tones under an air of violet inner florals, all elevated by stimulating acidity. The 2020 tapers off with a pleasantly bitter tinge, spicy and long, leaving hints of red plum and edgy tannins.

Tasting Notes: The 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino pours a blood red color and is ripe on the nose with notes of concentrated preserve cherries, sweet sage, mossy earth, and licorice candies. Full-bodied and earthy on the palate, with an autumnal feel to its notes of dried leaves, it has rich tannins and a savory finish. A very pretty wine with a light sanguine and gamey feel on the palate, it will be best enjoyed over the next 10 years.

Tasting Notes: Quite a ripe and evolved style here, with leathery notes soaked in raspberry jam, crushed roses and violets and cherries. The medium-bodied palate is quite biting and firm, with chalky tannins and crisp acidity. Try from 2026.
