Winemaker's Note
In the sun-drenched lands of Chateauneuf-du-Pape lies a secret cherished for centuries among the vines. "Secret des Princes" embodies this legacy, capturing the noble spirit of the Princes of Orange and the dedication of the winemakers at Cellier des Princes. Each bottle tells a tale of the whispering mistral, hard work, and respect for an exceptional terroir, offering a wine that is both powerful and refined, worthy of the most discerning palates.

Terroir
Round pebbles and sandy soils in the village of Courthezon. Northeast of the appellation Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

Grape Varieties
Grenache 90%, Mourvedre 5%, Syrah 5%

Winemaking
Hand-picked at peak maturity and quickly transported in small containers to the winery to avoid juice release and oxidation. Destemming, 4 to 5 weeks of maceration, pumping over, and daily release. Controlled temperature at 28 to 30 degrees C.

Aging
Matured for 10-12 months in concrete tanks before bottling, depending on the vintage. No oak to show the purest expression of the Grenache and terroir.

Tasting Notes
This ruby-red wine is very complex and elegant, with aromas of red currant, red cherries, and blackberries, with spicy overtones such as lavender, thyme, and rosemary. Excellent balance in the mouth; tannins are elegant and silky. Due to the combination of sandy subsoil and Grenache, the wine shows finesse and elegance.

Serving Suggestions
To enjoy now or can be kept for 5-8 years. Serve at 16-18 degrees C. This wine is a perfect match for roasted meats, meats in sauce, game, and mature cheeses.
