Vineyard Notes
On the northeastern hills just beyond Howell Mountain lies the Eakle Family Ranch estate vineyard, meticulously tended by fifth-generation Eakle family farmers. Rooted in the mineral-rich Bressa-Dibble soils, the vines ripen slowly under warm days and cool evenings, developing remarkable depth and purity. Pope Valley's pristine landscape and deep agricultural heritage make it an ideal setting for both time-honored and sustainable farming and winemaking traditions.

Winemaking Notes
Crafted from a site with a truly distinctive soil profile, this red blend was created to showcase the depth and intensity that only this vineyard can deliver. Our goal was simple - to craft a wine that is irresistibly delicious. Each varietal was harvested at its peak ripeness - Merlot and Petite Sirah a month before Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, and six weeks before Petit Verdot. Vinifying for three weeks on skins with twice-daily pumpovers, and keeping each lot separately allowed us to preserve the unique character and expression of every grape from Eakle Ranch. Barrel-aged for 22 months, yielding a wine of remarkable concentration and supple texture, offering layers of flavor that unfold gracefully in the glass.
