Winemaker's Note
When Les Vignobles Foncalieu looked for a fresh, floral grape variety that could be enhanced by Languedoc terroirs, they chose Albarino. Originally from Galicia, it has made a new home in our Puicheric vineyard, where oceanic and Mediterranean influences meet, allowing it to express its full richness.

Varieties
100% Albarino

Soils
Deep soils situated between the Canal du Midi and Etang de Marseillette to preserve the grapes' freshness. Mediterranean climate with oceanic influences. Rows are oriented east to west to protect the bunches from the sun. Yields of 60 hl/ha.

Winemaking
Work in a moderate reductive atmosphere to preserve the freshness of aromas. Pneumatic pressing. Six-day contact with the lees from the must. Cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control.

Aging
Four months in stainless steel vats.

Tasting Notes
Complex bouquet of white fruit with honey and coconut notes. Generous fruity flavors on the palate with good balance and freshness.

Pairing
Try with seared prawns, grilled sole, or veal blanquette. Serve chilled at 10 degrees C.

Tasting Notes: Very floral nose with aromas of ripe apple and lemon fruit. Citrusy palate, with a mouthwatering acidity, smooth and round.

Tasting Notes: This was quite a surprise, I wasn't expecting such minty, herbal aromas and flavours. There are also notes of peach and minerals, and it's generally a slightly fuller, more oily style, although does have some zestiness on the finish.
