For tense, mineral-driven expressions of Burgundian Chardonnay, Chablis producers consistently deliver the gold standard, especially at the village level. Domaine Besson crafted a superb expression from the low-yielding 2024 vintage, earning two 92-point ratings. And with steep savings, the rare opportunity to stash away bottles for anytime enjoyment is knocking!

Tasting Notes: This classic, village-level Chablis stood out with its aromas of grapefruit and apricot on the initial attack. There is more of a mineral edge here than in many wines this year - the creamy texture and just a hint of spice testify to [...] ageing. The charming balance, lively acidity and lingering finish will please on release, or hold for up to three years.
