Founded in 1984, Havens Winery began with a vision to utilize Napa Valley's richly diverse microclimates and to follow traditional methods to produce Merlot, Syrah, and Bourriquot, a Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend modeled after Chateau Cheval Blanc. In 2010, Havens joined the Smith-Anderson Wine Group family. With 30 years of experience producing exceptional wines, Smith-Anderson introduced Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay to Havens' collection. Havens Winery uses grapes from regions spanning Carneros to Howell Mountain and is known for red blends that combine smooth flavors and rich textures. Utilizing only the best grapes from Napa Valley, Havens Winery consistently produces exceptional wines that appeal to those who appreciate unique character. Tasting Notes: Solid and with good typicity, this red's cold cast iron spine runs through savory-laced red and black currant preserve flavors. Ends with a sanguine accent that lends cut to the structured fruit. Best from 2025 through 2037. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.

Tasting Notes: Offering ripe red and black fruits, sappy herbs, and some graphite, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Havens exhibits a medium to full-bodied, rather firm, foursquare style. It's a wine that may gain some elegance with time, but that remains to be seen. Drink 2025-2030.
