Medium to high deep red garnet in color with perfectly integrated aromas of fruit jam (blackcurrant, strawberries, and raspberries) and balsamic notes. On the palate, very full-bodied coffee and vanilla notes from aging in oak. Elegant tannins, well-balanced with a long and lingering finish.

The 2018 Azabache Rioja Crianza 'Vendimia Seleccionada' begins with inviting aromatics of dark cherries and black raspberries, vanilla, tobacco and hints of leather all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is nicely structured and displays a wonderful combination of fruit and acidity. It comes to a lengthy finish, as it leaves behind flavors of cherries, plums and exotic spices lingering.
